For decades, love has pissed on Morrissey–or so his lyrics lead us to believe. From The Smiths to his current solo career, he’s always made the perfect “woe is me” songs for every occasion–break-ups, rainy days, mean girls, girlfriends who commit suicide from jumping off the top of the ferris wheel, etc.
But now, according to his newest single, he’s found unlikely love in a city. “I’m throwing my arms around Paris because only stone and steel accept my love,” he croons in the aptly-named single, “I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris.”
