M. Ward creates new solo work

In an interview with Paste Magazine, M. Ward of folksy duo She and Him let loose about his new solo album, dubbed Hold Time, to be released February 2009. He said his partner in crime Zooey Deschanel told him it was her favorite album–ever.

Personally, I trust Zooey’s opinion.

M. Ward also said the new album will be a bit of a balancing act on his part. He’s using big, heavy sounds alongside typical guitar noises that you “can find in any guitar shop.” He also said he’s excited for people to hear it. Well we’re excited too.
