This week we’ve got two new videos for you from two beloved returning members of the HIP family, Luh Kel and Jae Mansa. Here’s our latest HIP Picks – Weekly Client Roundup- take a look at the videos above, and learn more about each clip by clicking on the links below.
58 million YouTube views, 67 million Spotify streams, a summer tour opening for Polo G- oh, and have we mentioned Luh Kel is only seventeen? “Cold Heart” is the follow-up to his breakout debut “Wrong”, and it’s another fine example of how to turn heartache into an outlet and inspiration. In the “Cold Heart” video, directed by Nicholas Jandora, Luh Kel watches a news report of his own death… but what really happened?
Jae Mansa’s latest single, “Blessings”, features Tee Grizzley and SL, and it’s an inspired contrast in style. Grizzly’s sweet, syrupy flow, SL’s laser-like verbal precision, and Jae Mansa’s no-nonsense street lyricism combine to form a whole that’s quite a bit greater than the parts. Directed by Mark Lee, the “Blessings” video plays out like a thriller and ends on a cliffhanger… we can only hope the next chapter (a new video) will be coming soon.
