“Shade Tree” Music Video: Rocky Dawuni (reggae)

Few artists in showbiz work harder than Ghanaian superstar and Grammy nominee Rocky Dawuni. Leading up to the release of his album, get a peek at Dawuni’s next (r)evolution with “Shade Tree”, which expresses his full breadth of influence: soul, roots, reggae, Highlife, West Coast hip-hop. The “Shade Tree” video was directed by young visionary Brazilian director Ema Ribeiro.

“Country Drunk” Music Video: Austin Martin (country)

Though he’s toured the nation and made it to the Billboard charts twice, Austin Martin’s heart belongs to Montana – specifically, the small town of Ryegate. “Country Drunk” is a party-starter, its video (directed by Breadwin Neville) a recollection of a wild night out.

“All They Want” Music Video: Heartour (alternative rock)

Heartour founder/singer/songwriter/drummer Jason Young provides us with adventurous experiments in sights, sounds, and sentiments. “All They Want”, from 2022’s enigmatic Years, is a crunchy, emotional expedition. For the video for “All They Want”, he worked with collage artist Laura Matikainen, to offer a broader psychological playground and context for the already heady song.

“Significant Half” Music Video: Imark (R&B/rap)

A proud son of St. Kitts and Nevis, dancehall artist Imark wants to bring listeners into his unique musical world that also takes inspiration from rap, R&B, hip-hop, and pop. “Significant Half” is a romantic mood-setter, with a video directed by Icey Jace that features stylish cinematography and tells quite the story.

“Masquerade” Music Video: Sonic Rade (alternative rock)

Founded by Canadian-American Ricardo Ryan (vocals, guitar, harmonica) and Geneva-born Christian Fonjallaz (bass, backing vocals, synth), Swiss alternative rock group Sonic Rade is here to blow your mind and ear drums. “Masquerade” is the lead single off their recently released album, Acacias, paired with a video the trio directed.

“Head Case” Music Video: SK No Edit (rap)

Finding early outlets with punk and alternative bands like blink-182 and Linkin Park, Bronx-based rapper SK No Edit now appreciates top-notch songcraft anywhere it emerges. He doesn’t let his circumstances define him; there’s no filter on his silky flow and no limit on his artistic potential. In the “Head Case” video, directed Sean Fleming captures SK trouping around Asbury Park, NJ.

“I Am” Music Video: The Noted (singer-songwriter)

Portland, Oregon, pop-rock quintet The Noted (vocalists Daniel Work and Angela Baldino, bassist John Dwyer, guitarist Jeff Koch, drummer Mike Snyder) seem to relish in being understated and underrated. The music video for “I Am” (directed by Work) curates a gentle dreamscape of the America that they yearn for, with black-and-white photography by Work and contributor Lane Weinberg.

“Rolling Stone” Music Video: Staunch Moderates (freeform)

Founded in 2019 by Greg Simmons and Bo Persiko, Staunch Moderates, from Aspen, CO, are making more than just music—it’s a movement. “Rolling Stone” is their ode to the music magazine that shaped a generation. The video (directed by GTS) plays like a time travel adventure across the decades – eventually all merging in music.
