Hailing from small towns and diverse backgrounds, Bad Reed channels a multitude of popular influences into unique snapshots of passion. The Paris, Ontario pseudo-rockers like to say that they are “small-town art-pop going big places…” We couldn’t agree more. In their new single, “Stained Glass,” the band delivers a song that is wholly engaging and musically refreshing. On top of that, the video they’ve cooked up is one wild ride that hits all the right notes of fun, mystery, and even a dash of evil.

Fans were given a small taste of Bad Reed with their 3 song, self-titled EP in mid-2015. After garnering positive press from outlets like Huffington Post, Skope Magazine, and VENTS Magazine, the band took to the road to further expand their fanbase with touring around southeast Canada. For their upcoming release Sweet Little Bitter, they’ve upped their game and expanded on all of the lessons they learned the first time around. The lineup of Costa Chatzis on percussion, Austin Sharpe on bass, Sydney Sollazzo on vocals and keyboards, and Graham Walker on guitars, has pulled deep from their pool of influences for a sound likened to acts from Hozier and Jack White to Snarky Puppy, The Mars Volta and Amy Winehouse.

The video for “Stained Glass” is Bad Reed’s own psychedelic adventure, with Sollazzo as the mysterious ringleader. The video starts with the three boys passing the eclectic Sydney on the side of the road on their way to a night of camping, and she hatches her plan. An unattended fire pit is compromised and soon the fellas are seeing the world in a very different way. Like a pagan apparition, they chase Sydney through the woods, unsure of what is real life and what is a hallucination. After stumbling upon a clearing with some strategically placed gear, they’re ready to fulfill their roles as the tight knit musical outfit to back up Sydney’s explosive performance. We don’t know if they’ll remember anything in the morning, but we know it’s an experience we won’t soon forget!

We’re very pleased to be working with Bad Reed to help introduce them to a new audience, confident that their sound will be one for viewers of all tastes.
