Here at HIP Video Promo, we’ve been working hard to promote music videos since the year 2000. It’s important to us to help younger and independent artists get the recognition they deserve, and it’s exciting to be on the ground floor with artists that become household names (and with over 3400 videos under our belts in 20 years, there are quite a few). Thousands upon thousands of songs have been written about love in all its different forms. It’s not inaccurate when people say the best electronic dance music is European- it did, in fact, originate from there. The British duo, Underworld, was at the forefront of the underground scene mounting to headliners at some of the top music festivals in the world. The techno duo, Karl Hyde and Rick Smith, have pulsated beats through club dancefloors and even provided soundtracks to the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Now a San Diego local, STAR 2 was born in the Mae La Thai refugee camp in Myanmar before relocating to the States at the age of 5. His first single, “Hollup Gurl,” boasts over 250k streams on Spotify and was given the thumbs up by MTV’s Justina Valentine and Jordan Beckham, and his single “WTF is Love” was praised by Soulja Boy. In his new video for "If U Want 2" (directed by Hector Toro), STAR 2 is ready to shoot his shot with his dream girl - and we have a feeling things are going to go pretty well.

FatCat Records is an English independent record label founded in Brighton in 1997 by David Cawley and Alexander Knight. Their reputation comes from all the different music styles they've dabbled with, including indie-rock, avant-garde, electronic, and folk. The record label first got its start in 1989 in West Sussex, when founders Alex and David originally formed a record store. That store then moved to London in the '90s, where their main focus was Detroit and Chicago based house music. The store ultimately closed down, and FatCat was born in its place. It would move to Brighton in 2001.
