Yes, ladies and gentlemen, closed captioning has been a thing for quite some time. It is the way the viewers can see the words or lyrics that are being spoken or sung while the visual content is being programmed. Since 2005, all broadcast television has had to be closed captioned. Of course, you want your visual content to be considered for programming, but if said visual content is not closed captioned, you’re going to be out of luck, and it won’t be considered.
