We’re just over a month into the new year, and 2021 is already off to a great start here at HIP HQ. We pride ourselves on the endless championing of our cherished clients, which means working on getting them featured on some of the biggest TV programs out there like MTV and BET Jams. Today, we’re proud to give you the January Round-Up of our cherished clients getting featured on BET Jams.
BET Jams is an international TV program that was founded in 2002 and originally called MTV Jams. In 2015, they rebranded under the prominent Black Entertainment Television network banner. Since then, BET Jams has been bringing hip-hop and urban contemporary videos to over 80 million households throughout the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. It’s the only TV program of its own that’s completely exclusive to hip-hop music videos, programming, and lifestyle, and a massive win for our clients!
The first client to be featured on BET Jams is Frank Hugo, with his video for “CEO Flow”. Frank Hugo is a rising rapper from Atlanta; this is his very first video, and we’re thrilled to see this artist on BET Jams. In this video, Frank holds nothing back when it comes to honesty. He’s open about his time in jail and the big moves he made just a year after. Demonstrating the real flow of a CEO, his eyes are on the prize, and nothing can stand in his way.
Next up to be featured on BET Jams is Pierre Bless with his video for “Right On Time”. Pierre Bless is a rising rapper born in Germany and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is his fifth video, and we’re stoked to see him on BET Jams. In this video, Pierre puts all his trust into the universe, and the universe seems to have his back no matter what. The “Right On Time” video shows Pierre ticking around a massive clock, stopping at 10:10 – a significant time stamp that puts Pierre right where he wants to be at the perfect time. It’s about not stressing the little things and trusting that everything will work its self out.
Another cherished client featured on BET Jams this month is Ty Breezzyy with his video for “TRUE”. Ty Breezzyy is an up-and-coming hip-hop artist from the iconic Soundview section of the Bronx. This is his very first video, and seeing him on BET Jams is super exciting. Directed by his father, this video takes the viewers on the emotional ride of Ty’s last break up. Ty brings this girl to a low-key recording session to tell her how he really feels – how she doesn’t listen and how different his life would’ve been, had he continued with this relationship. Thinking the song is about her, the girl is intrigued until the message finally becomes clear. It’s Ty at his most honest and confident.
Last but not least on BET Jams in January is Leph Louie and his video for “Motivated.” Leph Louie is a rising rapper from Colorado; this is his one of seven videos, and we couldn’t be more excited about it being featured on BET Jams. “Motivated” is all about hyping everybody up. Leph Louie acts like a motivational speaker as he talks about hustling to reach your goals and encourages listeners to do the same. The video is just Leph Louie, the camera, and a room full of his lyrics. He takes it one step further by empowering the black community and showcasing what they do best with the stereotypes left behind. It’s a simple video that’s sure to pack a punch.
