The Architects, when they released the album Vice this year, were praised by Punknews.org and other sites as a non-gimmicky band that makes reality-based music during an age when popular music is anything but that.
Mixing a bluesy sound with a punky vibe, the Architects tell dark stories about the lives of normal, everyday people, like Bruce Springsteen. But, also like Bruce Springsteen, they write dark stories without a dragging tempo, complete with sing-along choruses and leaping guitars.
Here’s their video for “Pills,” a song which attacks pharmaceutical companies.
The Architects are on tour with Authority Zero this month! Check out tour dates on Myspace here.
