It’s been nearly a month since HIP Video Promo celebrated our big 20th birthday, and there’s still plenty to celebrate here at HIP HQ. Recently, HIP founder and president Andy Gesner was interviewed by Grit Daily, where he talked about all things HIP.
Grit Daily is an online news source that works closely with millennial and Gen Z brands. They cover fashion, tech, influencers, entrepreneurship, and life in general. They document the constantly changing times and the influence brands have on the world. They’ve held events at Miami Art Week and SXSW and hosted countless dinners. They concentrate on the basics of journalism and pride themselves on reporting without pressure. It’s journalism in a different light.
Andy and Grit went down 20 years of memory lane and reminisced about HIP Video Promo. They talked about how it all started, where the name came from, and the idea behind the company. What began as organizing and producing shows soon turned into promoting artists and their music videos. They also talked about the elements of a music video and what to keep in mind when creating yours. Andy also touched on why the company hasn’t relocated to one of the bigger music markets and why HIP has always been in New Jersey. The interview ends with questions about the future and what’s next. As for the future, we’ll keep doing what we’re doing, fighting the good fight, and looking forward to the next 20 years of championing for our clients and future clients to come. We’re thrilled to have had the chance to talk to Grit Daily, we love what we do, and we love being able to share our story with everyone. The celebration continues.
